Hello all.

I will be going to Yongsan soon to try and find a TV/External monitor solution for my Air (The thunderbolt display looks good but is far too expensive). Would it be better to get a TV that can accept computer input or a screen that i can watch tv through the mac with? I want to watch Korean TV.

I will also be using it for Design work - what are the pros/cons of each and what brands/models should i be looking for?

Thanks in advance.

get a korean 27' monitor that uses the lg panels found in the 27' imacs. i own one personally and they are terrific and the price cannot be beat.

with a mac you'd have to use a dual-link dvi to minidisplayport adapter however which can be a little expensive.

if you are looking for something to hook up to a tv and your mac though, just get any monitor at the size you want with an hdmi input and a second hdmi input or dvi input and just run your mac into the monitor using the secondary port and your cable box into the monitor using the hdmi port.

for anyone reading this in the future - im using a belkin mini displayport adapter and an HDMI cable to connect them up.

Is that one of those Catleap monitors? That is a badass price; are there some models with HDMI? Did you have any issue with yours?
