The dance reminded me of a section of this one a bit.

The second video looked like they'd cloned that guy from the village people. I'm sure it'll be a huge hit. Flashmobs, the lot. |

“When Sony Music Entertainment officials went to Korea in July to explore the music industry, they were inspired by the creativity and uniqueness of the group. They saw market potential in the group’s content, so they decided to pursue a contract,” a Sony Music Entertainment representative said.
“Signing up with Sony Music Entertainment will play an enormous part in Crayon Pop’s growth,” said Hwang Hyun-chang of Chrome Entertainment, which represents the girl group.
The group is planning to perform abroad with the help of Sony Music’s global network. |

"Asia- the continent that rhythm forgot." PJ Orourke.
After that, I'll be listening to some Zeppelin to cleanse my sensibilities. |

No.
No, no, no.
Just no.
God I hate K-Pop.
For me, mainstream Korean music begins and ends with Jaurim and Seotaji.
Oh and this guy:

Kpop isn't even just bad anymore...it's just stupid. Would someone give this country some drugs and a guitar? |

To answer your question, the guy in transmogrifier's link above, Shin Jung Hyun, did have a guitar (in fact he was awarded a special custom one from Fender as part of some 'Legends' tribue).
Sadly Shin Jung Hyun's story went rather downhill after he basically told the then President of Korea to *bleep* off by refusing to write a song praising him, and instead writing a song praising the mountains and rivers of Korea.

He was rewarded with a trip to the gulag on charges of, you guessed it, drugs. Rumors of torture and prison abuse followed.
By the time he was released, Korean music tastes had radically changed.
Yeah. Sucks. Korea could have continued down his route musically. |

BARF!!!!!! Both singers have insufferably shrill voices and one of the two can't write a song without it being derivative of what mainstream American or British artists are doing at the moment.
There is still hope for you. |

There used to be, but that all got screwed up in the mid '70s when the government started cracking down on artists it saw as a threat to their authority, sending some of them to jail for their use of cannabis and then banning them from performing. |
