Hi folks,
Could anyone tell me what the soonest date I can get a new E2 visa is? The date on my old one is from 12th March 2013. I heard I would have to wait until March 2014 before I could reapply, but I was wondering if I can apply sooner if I'm not working under the old visa?
I had to leave my old hagwon job as it was just a bad school. I was the 16th teacher (foreign and Korean) who left within one year. I was tied up with the visa because my boss wouldn't sign my release, so I had to leave the country.
I love Korea and want to get back as soon as I can - hence the question of how soon I can get a new visa.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

| As far as I know, without a letter of release you'll have to wait until March 12th, 2014. I had to wait out a month once with this, but things may have changed since then. I'm sure some others will pipe up if there is better news to be had. There may be some review process..... |
