The entire thing is so packed with self-contradiction and obvious dysfunction that I want to believe it's an ironic work of art rather than genuine. The way she spontaneously cusses out her mom at the end over something completely trivial really makes the video.
As for the "free money," given she talks about education & grades, maybe student loans, which probably do seem like free money to a lot of people. |

Yes I thought it might be something like that too. She's too much of a caricature of an out of work 'artist'. Most people in her position would at least have enough self awareness to make excuses why they couldn't work, blame the system, or talk about wanting to work in the future. |

I was thinking the same thing. People who don't want to work and are lazy totally exist, but this seems way to stereotypical and forced. I got suspicious at the Hot Topic reference. It's like someone posting a video talking about how people shouldn't judge their taste in music and then gushing over Nickelback. Too "on the nose". Then going on about wanting a TV show and being an artist and giving really good massages, it's a caricature. I thought halfway through that all we needed to see was her suddenly losing her cool or yelling inexplicably, and bam, we got it. Like I said, stupid lazy people totally exist and I know enough of them back home to think this is way too over the top to be genuine. Or maybe I'm wrong. There's always someone dumber out there. |

I think Korea has its fair share of these kinds of people - the older ones are called 'gold diggers' (at least they put out for their money though...).
The younger ones want to (tick as appropriate);
( ) marry a rich, handsome, man (never a woman)
( ) be a pro-gamer(probably mine-craft)
( ) be a mother (which means not doing anything except drinking coffee everyday anyway)
( ) be a talent (w.ever t.f. that means).
( ) be a singer (at least a bit less ambiguous).
When I was younger, everyone wanted to be a fireman or an astronaut!
Whatever happened to ambition? |

Apparently one of the reasons why we are all so fat in the west is that we judge our own physical state against other people around us. That woman on the right probably thinks she's pretty slim. |
