I arrive late at night and have a flight early the next morning. Do they allow passengers to sleep overnight in the airport there? |

All major airports allow people to sleep overnight. The airport in my city is an open airport and people can't be kicked out including homeless people. I think that is pretty much everywhere. |

yes but i'm not sure that you'd want to. lga isn't a very good airport to sleep in. i believe they have pay-use lounges however which is a step up and will at least have something that could be comfortable enough to sleep on.
why not just hop over to an airport hotel for a few hours? |

Won't matter, you flight in will sit on the tarmac for half a dozen hours there anyway. Immigration will then take another 3-4 hours. By the time you get done with that, you should just arrive in time to watch them close the gates on your flight.
^actually happened to me there. Twice. |
