Well, Vietnam has its visa rules but it's missing out on SO MUCH tourist revenue because of it. Imagine how many travelers balk at visiting Vietnam just because of the visa requirement. If you're gonna charge for a visa, fine, but make it visa on arrival like Indonesia or Cambodia. |

As others have said, vietnam required you to have your visa beforehand, i lived there for 3 years and i know all do and dont about the visas.
The easiest way is to apply for visa approval letter online, then, get your actual visa stamped once on arrival. The cost of visas are also vary depending on your nationality.
UK. France. Italy, German and France passport holders are not required to apply for visa beforehand if they stay less than 15 days, if you are staying more that that then you need to apply for approval letter.
I do recommend this agency in Hanoi: http://www.vietnameseprivatetours.com/vietnamese-visa-approval-voucher - they also offer free visa if you book a trip with this tourist agency.
Hope this could be a help |
