Yes, same as hippies in Vietnam. Some changed and went back to the mainstream, some are running unions and living as artists and the like. Not all current leaders are former protestors and not all former protestors are leaders.
However, unlike the hashtag activists of Dave's, they actually succeeded in bringing around change. You know, that whole "elections" thing. |

What with all the news and photos about Clara and what she's wearing, I doubt they could find the bandwidth to run a story.
Rumors of a government cover-up are out there. Some even believe they don't want to catch Yoo because he's got the dirt on some higher-ups.

Surely that must be a reporting error... |
That's old news.
Supposedly the CG's big problems was that its chief officers came form the national police agency and thus had no experience and knowledge regarding matters of the sea.
So what did they do? Disbanded the CG and made it a part of the national police agency. |

That's not what it said. The parts responsible for gathering information conducting investigations will be transferred to the police, yes. But S&R operations and coastal patrol will go to National Safety, essentially a new Korean FEMA~Homeland Security. The second part mimics the reshuffling of the Coast Guard following 9/11 where it was put under DHS authority.
I think the second part is fine. The first shouldn't go to the police, unless as a temporary measure. It should instead go to some sort of NTSB. |

I'm not comparing the capabilities of the two, I'm comparing where they are located in government structure. National Safety seems, at this preliminary juncture, to have elements of FEMA/DHS, recognizing it as more of a disaster relief/law enforcement agency than a military organization, USCG is under DHS for the same reasons. That's what I was writing, I wasn't comparing their SAR capabilities or the level of equipment, I don't know how you got that from what I was writing. |

Can this new agency smell a red herring?
New names, same organization. Why try and muddy the waters? Those scuba divers have a hard enough time as it is. |
