This is a 2 week vacation. We have a 1 hour 40 minute connection in Vancouver and I just realized we will have to collect our luggage, go through customs and then re-check our luggage. Should she go through the line for foreigners by herself? What types of questions might she be asked? We will be short on time so does anyone have any advice on getting through as quickly as possible without any issues? |

You'll have enough time. She can accompany you for questioning. We've travelled through YVR and YYZ 5 times, and it never took us longer than a few minutes to answer the standard questions.
It's not like going through the United States of Fascism. |

Go through with you.
The questions will be simple enough (you're likely to get more questions than she) and even easier if you have a copy of the return flight e-ticket printed out and handy.

YVR connections are pretty painless.
Just confirm at some point whether you'll have to collect your baggage for the transfer on the way back west. It's not necessarily the same procedure both directions. |

Returning from Canada to Korea you check the bags in at the 1st point in Canada and pick them up in Seoul for customs clearance.
As compared to going Korea -> Canada where you check in at ICN and have to clear customs at the entry port in Canada (either YVR or YYZ) then re-check for the domestic flights.
