Depends on what you mean.
If you mean legally and or technically then it is about 11 000 to 15 000 /hr depending on local Board of Education's rules (Yes, they are also responsible for the regulation of businesses that provide private education services)
However if you mean after the books have been un-cooked of the blank or best case scenario study room time "made available" to the student then it becomes between 30 000 to 50 000 with possible serious students prepping for Student U.N. style things getting into 80k-100k. |

I'm not sure how much the hagwons charge, but a friend of mine was getting paid 50,000 KRW/hr to teach 3 hour classes twice or more a week at a hagwon in Daechi... so it must be quite a bit. |
