I've only been at this job for 2.5 weeks and it seems to be a sinking ship. They are losing students left and right and already have very low enrollment.
What are the options if the ship does sink? Would I have to get a LOR to work elsewhere? Or since the school would be closed would a LOR be necessary?
Anything else I should be aware of? Besides getting paid. |

If you hagwon really does shut down, immigration will let you change jobs. You may need some kind of proof or have a Korean person go with you though. |

You will know plenty as soon as pay day arrives. Either you get your salary, or you do not. Have a conversation with the ownership about this directly. Based upon what you learn there, next call the immigration hotline directly to inquire about the steps for E-2 visa transfer. Then, look for jobs, though not necessary in that order. You need information, so get that as soon as possible. Good luck. |
