I have been at two kindergartens where I have had to fill in these daily notebook/agendas that get sent home to parents that tell the moms how the day was, if their kid ate their lunch, if they had a fight with another student, if they forgot to wipe their ass after going to the bathroom etc. I am tired of having to do them during my lunch break (yes I know I shouldn't be doing any work during lunch but that's another story). Half the time the parents don't even read/respond to them. They also sometimes get mixed up in the wrong backpack or don't come back to the school for days. Anyway, I want to find a good modern solution using the internet. Are there any sites where you can set up a class, calendar, and give parents a log in to check things?

Couldn't you just use Google docs and make an individual calendar for each student? This would probably be a more useful resource for both you and the parents, long-term.

Side note: this is a really dumb, pointless activity geared towards making the parents feel like you're working extra hard (even though it's busywork).

Thought about google docs, it is a possibility. Just wondering if there is anything better or prettier.

What about something like Class Dojo? I don't know how detailed these notes of yours have to be, but with Class Dojo, you could easily just pull it out and add the points every time students did something, and then at the end of the day, it would already be done. Just make the positive points the things the students are expected to do ("eat lunch," "play well," etc.), and the negative points the things students are expected to avoid ("got in a fight," "didn't clean up," etc.), and then parents can see not just how their child did that day, but their overall trends as well.

An LMS like Edmodo would would well too. The interface is similar enough to Facebook that most folks can use it intuitively.

Free is a good price too.

My kid's teacher uses the Remind app: https://www.remind.com/

She posts pictures and comments about what they've been doing, reminders of things that are due, etc. It sends a text message to your cell if you sign up as a parent, and you can also install the app on your smartphone to see the pictures and what not. I'm a fan...

You could find the perfect system and it will still come down to whether or not the hagwon admin and the parents will go for it. My hunch is, if they make you do these every day, they probably won't be reasonable about it.

Best of luck though, even doing those once a week was a pain in the ass.
