Trump is a bloated lump of bile. He is an embarrassment as a human being and to the human race. He is a National disgrace and an insult to world civilization. As an American, one thing that I find even more embarrassing than trump himself is the electorate that put him in office -- a coalition of the ignorant, the gullible and the deplorable. |
Meh..nothing but rhetoric bombs, with no real substance.
Though, the electorate base you described, was in the playbook as to whom the DnC was pandering to.
It is all a show...a paradigm that people think is real. |

Or, so hamstrung by a hostile congress(no matter which party is in control) that he can't actually implement any of his febrile musings, and ends up just governing as a typical conservative Republican, while continuing to make outrageous remarks now and then to keep his fans and the media happy. |
OTOH FTW. |

Jobs created since Trump took office through April: 522,000
Trump promised to create 25 million jobs in 10 years. That is 208,333 jobs per month.
He is actually fairly close; if you want to attribute these jobs to his policies or Presidency. |
No, it wound be ridiculous to credit trump with those jobs. It would be like giving credit for the bountiful harvest to the new farm manager who took over one week become the Thanksgiving feast. Just as Obama inherited an economy that had gone over the cliff and was in free fall, trump inherited an economy that had already begun to boom and would have continued to boom for years without trump doing anything. Where I live has be booming for over a year. Major construction projects going on all over. Projects that been in planning for a year or two. Projects that when completed will result in many new jobs. Jobs that I' m sure trump will try to take credit for. |

Job creation graph.
Trump's job numbers are...fine, so far. They're in the same ballpark as Obama's second term. Out of the 52 months from January 2013 to April 2017, Trump's three best months fall in the middle. So far he's not notably outdoing Obama in this area at all (to the extent that any of the credit or blame goes to POTUS). Many of the January jobs were not created on Trump's watch. |

I have been looking for indications of how bad the fire might be ... we can only see the smoke outside of Congressional intelligence briefings.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) is expected to announce Thursday that he is resigning before the end of this congressional term, according to three sources familiar with his plans.
Chaffetz did not respond to a request for comment Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. Multiple sources say he will leave Congress on June 30.
Chaffetz, 50, is chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, the top investigative body in the chamber. He recently subpoenaed James Comey's memos, and invited the fired FBI director to testify next week before his panel.
Chaffetz told POLITICO last month he had begun exploring employment outside Congress. Several sources in the Capitol say Chaffetz has told his colleagues he will appear on Fox News. |
Six months ago, Chaffetz was chomping at the bit. Now he will leave Congress. |

Quiet week so far (by DJT standards)... Perhaps this will encourage him to go on more trips abroad. |

Grassley calls for investigation into Chinese promotion of the Kushners
Here it comes . . .
Quote: |
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is calling for an investigation into “potentially fraudulent statements and misrepresentations” made by a Chinese company promoting investments in property partly managed by White House adviser Jared Kushner's family's company.
Reuters noted that Grassley cited one of its reports in a May 25 letter to the Department of Homeland Security and the Securities and Exchange Commission calling for the probe.
The Republican senator is requesting a review of claims made by Chinese firm Qiaowai in the marketing of the One Journal Square project in Jersey City, N.J. to potential Chinese investors.
“Given all of these concerns, a closer look at Qiaowai Group and the U.S. Immigration Fund are clearly warranted, as reports suggest both companies have long employed questionable practices,” Grassley wrote.
Qiaowai and Kushner Companies are looking for investors to help finance a pair of luxury apartment buildings as part of the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Visa Program. That program offers visas in exchange for a $500,000 investment in a U.S. business. |
