Koreans are marrying later and later every year, so even if you (the OP) are in your late 40s, you might be able to meet a nice, never-married-no-kids woman in her late 30s to early 40s and give it a go.
Wouldn't expect any interest from women in their 20s to lower 30s, though, especially if they're well educated, working, yet actually in the market for a beau. Compared to Korean corporate or professional guys, you simply won't have much to bring to the table in terms of income or social standing. But, hey, you never know.
Forget buying an apartment for now, especially in a major city. Waste of money and demographics and buildling trends suggest a bubble pop is in the making. Take the housing as part of your compensation offered through your employer, or use the housing allowance, if offered, to rent something modest.
Best advice? Keep you eye on the ball. Get a job first, come on over and get used to the job and life here, and then and only then worry about dating, getting hitched, and, gulp, buying a domestic box to hang your hat. |

I'll take the free housing then. 40s women are a bit old for me personally. I'd still like the younger 30s women if possible. May have to go to vietnam or china then lol. But that's too expensive and too much hassle and you wouldn't get residency for korea not getting hitched with a K national. |

Not true at all. You can now obtain permanent residency in Korea via a point system. There is a separate thread dedicated to this topic if you're interested. A friend of mine recently received her permanent residency through this system, so it is indeed doable.
Good luck with the ladies. I'll stand by my original assessment, but, like I said, you never know. |

How many points do you get for a PGCE and QTS (qualified teacher status)?
Is there a link to the points system? |

What he means is, your horses are tied to the rear side of your cart, and somehow magically, your cart is faster than the horses which are chasing after it. My question is, why did you bother with horses when your cart had an engine all along? I think this is frankhenry's question too. |

I'm sure if you dig deep enough online you can find a catalogue that covers all your needs here. |

Is it as easy to get a K gf as it is to get one in Thailand? I'm 40 something and I'd like to date a 25-36 yo K. |
It is easy to get a K gf in Thailand? Are there that many there? I would imagine that Korean females are more common in Korea than in Thailand. |

If you read it properly it means is it as easy to get a GF in Korean as it is to get a THAI GF in Thailand. |
