I'm a permanent resident of the U.S and I plan to teach in South Korea for 6 months. I don't intend to stay in Korea for a year. My question is, do I need to obtain a re-entry visa? |

IF you have an ARC (i.e. working legally) then it doesn't matter and you don't need a re-entry permit. Registered aliens have freedom of travel.
If you won't have an ARC then it will depend on what passport you do hold (even with a green card).

thank you for your reply! it makes sense now I will be applying for a Arc when I arrive in Korea. |
