A recruiter sent me a school called Dux in Daechi in the Gangnam area. A google search turned up practically nothing, no substantial reviews. A post here didn't yield anything either. They have a website, of course it's all in Korean. For all I know the website could be for deep fried snickers.
I told the recruiter I was hesitant because of the lack of information to be found. Reply: "This school has been open for almost 10 years and it mostly has really good reputation. The school doesn't have a lot of reviews online but don't worry."
I know recruiters can be awful and aren't immune to lying. What do you all think? Is the lack of info a red flag? |

Instead of google try naver (Korean search engine).
Just because you cannot find anything in English does not mean there is nothing to be found.
It is just another bog standard hagwon like 10,000 others of the same ilk.

While not a fool-proof method, the standard procedure would be to ask to speak to one of the current teachers there. |
