If it goes "all the way" to Beijing, it must have wheels. Notice you've never seen photos of Beijing's beautiful harbour...? 
A boat to Tianjin on the coast, however, is a possibility.

| Is the boat trip to Beijing more costly than the one to Bangkok? A friend of mine took the boat from Dallas to Atlanta in the States and said the scenery was stunning. |
