Saw this in the JoongAng Daily today, then I said to myself: 'Only in Korea.'

Here's a link:

Agreed. They wouldn't let anyone get near the suspect in the west, either. If you want to say "Only in Korea", then apply it to the fact that the dude was wearing a white shirt with white slacks. Probably had a white purse, too.

DOnt see what is wrong with the picture. The police guy was doing his job.

Yep. The suspect is in police custody, and so the state takes responsibility for his safety. If someone tries to attack the suspect, the guards have to protect him.

Of course, I haven't seen what took place before the scene captured in the photo, so I don't know how much of a threat the woman was, or whether or not the cop over-reacted. And the OP(unless he's holding back on us) does not know these things either.

Let's not fall into the trap of assuming that everything which simply looks bad IS bad. When you see something like this, it's a good idea to pause and consider the various possible scenarios that could have led up to the incident. But of course the best thing is to gather hard evidence about what exactly took place.

bullocks!! he didnt need to side kick her..
and if that did happen back home.. that cop would have been sued! and fired!

he is trained in martial arts?? by the look of that kick he isnt!
he could have approached her and forced her off.. didnt need to kick her in the side and watch her fly down a flight a stairs..

also in the west!! we wouldnt be escorting this guy all over the city on a day cruises to go over the murders step by step..
THEY ARE DEAD!!! walking through the motions is not going to BRING THEM BACK!!! THEY should have done your jobs months ago!! NOT NOW!!
STUPID cops!!!!!
that was police brutality! and he should be charged with assult..
wasnt like she pulled out a gun! or a knife!

I agree.. only in KOREA!!!! well.. only in 3rd world nations like korea!!
