I read here that the tax and pension which are both required deductions amount to close to eight percent (or something) and that if the 'tax' deducted by the boss from one's pay is any less they are likely keeping it for themselves and not paying tax.
All my jobs the bosses deducted four percent. Awhile ago when the pension scheme became mandatory I asked the last boss not to deduct that. He talked to a government man, he said, and so avoided the pension requirement.
Anyway the boss deducts four percent.
My question is what are the ramifications of this practise that might hurt me, if there are any? |

Maybe: One day your govt may require you to pay income tax on the money you earned here unless you can prove you payed taxes here in accordance with the tax treay. Never heard of that happening though. Check with your embassy. |
