from the info posted here, i understand that if one wants to work at two schools he/she can apply (with their sponsors' agreement) for the "Permission for Alteration or Addition of Employment Place" stamp.

but does one also have to apply for this stamp if he/she wants to hold a part-time job in a different field than "foreign language teaching"? is it even possible to work in a field other then what an E2 visa will allow. i'm guessing not but, i just want to make sure.

for example, could you work as a programmer part-time and teach full time? or...well, you get the point. all hypothetical, of course. Smile

If you have the qualifications that immigration excepts you can do anything provided that your primary employers gives you permission to have a second job.
