Negotiated mine this week too. I could have waited for a march surprise but chose to be proactive by putting my ideas to my supervisor now. I've learned from experience that once my schedule's set, its pretty much cast in stone for a year.
Anyway, I'm pleased! The boss was very amenable. I managed to get some unproductive classes modified or dissolved & I'll take on a couple fun challenges in their place -- a morning a week in a tiny rural school & a new weekly class of volunteer elementary kids from around the city. My wishes!
I like my job. I get a lot of leeway in designing my own program. February off now too. |

You sound like my condescending father.
I have a feeling it won't be better, there is 2.5 months holiday for me. |
My schedule will be better than yours. |

What's really fun is when you get no schedule, just a call from your boss when you've been home from vacation for two hours, you ask her when to come in and what classes you are teaching today and she says, in all seriousness, "you haven't prepared already?!" |

I get a new schedule at least once per month and lately it's every 2 weeks. My schedule now is the worst it's been so far but it will probably change soon anyway. |

I forgot to mention the ironic part:
I'm studying Korean during this vacation and getting up every morning at 7. Next semester I don't have to wake up until 9 (except Thursdays -- I don't have to wake up at all) so I'll actually be getting more sleep during the semester. |
