The local supa probably isn't the best place to look. Check the baking section of larger department stores, Wal-Mart is where I've been getting my buckwheat and plain rice flour. Sweet potato/ flour is also pretty good.
Are skookum, are you living in the sticks? |
Well, it's a "shi" but its still only 1 km across town from east to west, a bit more in the other direction. No department stores, no Wal-Mart - the only foreign franchise joint I've seen here is a Baskin-Robbins. Supas come in two sizes - mini and micro. There is a nice shijang here though, and lots of small shops of many descriptions. Nothing that particularly caters to waegukin, who are scarce as hen's teeth herabouts. I did however find a U.S. 25-cent piece on the street a couple days back - the first money I've found in this country so far.... |

This thread which I am dusting off has a few recommendations for places in Seoul to buy wheat-free products. Any additions would be welcome - for me particularly in Daegu and other parts of the midlands.....
I realize that I have learned to suffice quite well in eating wheat-free in Korea, since this thread was last active..... |
