TIP: Stay away from Istanbul in Itaewon!

I went there a few weeks ago and have never met a ruder, more arrogant piece of shit than the Kiwi guy who was working there.

We ended up walking away and going to Buddha's Belly just down the road - the Korean guys there were so funky & so helpful!! Food is really good & reasonably priced aswell. Beats giving money to the joke that runs Istanbul.

Just my two cents worth.

A few more decent non-Korean restaurants:
1. Sortino's - Italian food. It's in Itaewon. Exit 3 from the subway and walk ~2-3min. Second floor. He's got a new restaurant across the street now called The Sortino (this one's more expensive).

2. On the Border - Tex-Mex food. In Sinchon. Exit 4 (I think) from the subway and walk half a block. Second floor. A little expensive but the food is pretty good and their margaritas are tasty.

3. If you're sick of the Paris Baguettes and Crown Bakeries there is a new bakery in Itaewon. It's at the end (near the blue arch) of Itaewon farthest from the base. It's a big black glass building. They've got the best bread in Seoul, tons of pastries, cakes, and fresh made chocolates.

Take a look at my previous post. In Sinchon there is a "On the Border." It's Tex-Mex and they do a pretty good job. There's a Mexican place in Itaewon just down the side street from Gecko's. STAY AWAY from that one or you'll soon be part of the Korean bathroom symphony.

There is a place called Dos Tacos in Gangnam, right by the Krispy Kreme and Frisbee store. Ate there Saturday night, it was alright. Smile

Have you guys heard of www.Seouleats.com That's where I go to find my restaurants when I come to Seoul. He gets a mix of what's mid-range to high price. I don't mind paying a lot of money for good food, but I get angry if I have to pay a lot and get crap. Here's a list of places by area.
