Just sneak in at LHR, slither off to Earls Court, don't ask for (a roll of) Durex at the stationery store and she'll be right.

Go to the UK Embassy website and order the apps - can be done by email or phone. Take the completed application, photos and fee (was 60,000 when I did it 2 years ago) to the embassy. You will have to schedule an interview for a few days later.

The interview is a joke. (Or was for me. Koreans were leaving the interview room in tears and I could hear them begging and pleading in the interview room). All he said to me was "You've been working here a year so you've saved up lots of money, right?" And I just said "Yep!" (I took proof of bank balances with me, because if you apply in Canada you MUST have bank statements that show you have 3 months worth of living money accessible you to...but in Seoul, he didn't even ask). Basically just wanted to make sure I knew the visa rules, and told me to come back later that afternoon to pick up my passport and new visa.

Super easy to do, very friendly staff at the British Embassy.

Good luck, pm me if you need more info.
