I've been told I smell like butter, and that my apartment smells
like curry.

I usually reply with the question: "Is it better than the 'bucket of fish-heads' smell down on the streets?"

(I live near a traditional fish/frog/eel/etc market)

The best way to see how you smell is to smell your own farts! Come on, admit it, you all smell your own farts. At least once in awhile. I was just talking to The Beaver (OP) about this today.

Laughing Weird white people smell was commented on by Australian aboriginals when the first white governor tried to visit them. They consistently moved downwind, and he just as consistently moved upwind. Finally, in exasperation he asked what the matter was and was told by the interpreter that he stank of decaying meat.

So, yeah, I think it's mostly diet; whites who are carnivorous tend to have a much stronger smell than those of us who are vegetarians or near vegetarians.

Koreans tend to stink of garlic and that awful kimchi smell, although the stuff tastes pretty good. I've noticed that my body smell has changed just from eating kimchi, but since I'm always eating plenty of garlic - even at home I don't notice much of a diff here.

At home in Canada, I have always found the sweat of East Indians extremely pungent and offensive. Somehow or other, the curry tends to work its way out of the skin and by gosh, if it don't stink. However, if they shower regularly and use deodorant then the smell of curry is quite pleasant.

Anyway, it comes down to showering regularly, and don't allow anyone to freak you out by telling you that you smell bad.

Some of the really repulsive habits of Koreans are that spitting, hawking up, cleaning every bloody orifice of their bodies and letting the whole world hear it. I go through agonies every morning and evening, listening to my director cleaning his nose, throat, and lord knows what else. Positively revolting! Gimme smell any day.

Natural Gas has no odor. The smell you associate with it is an added chemical for safety reasons.

Mercaptan is a harmless odorant that is added to natural gas so you can detect event the smallest amount of gas which might escape. The odor, which is similar to the smell of rotten eggs, tells you that there may be gas leak or that a pilot light may have gone out.

Natural gas is colorless and odorless. We add an odorant that produces a distinctive "gas smell" so that leaks are easier to detect

Because we have different diets, the cells grow from completely different protein structures. When the proteins break down and die, they smell different.

ok, i was under the impression that all the cells in your body are made of a phospolipid bylayer, i could be wrong but.....I'm not Laughing

The food you eat has a lot to do with the way you smell but not because these foods are incorporated into your cellular structure because all foods are essentially broken down into the same things ie glucose, lipids etc which are then used by the body as building blocks....however the indigestible food such as cellulose can harbour funky smell producing flora in the gut.

Im not too sure how your sweat smells of alcohol after a night out but from experience i know it does...

>. I`m begining to think it`s largely a biological ( i.e. animal / in-stinct-ual ) thing. Typically westerners are said to smell like bread or cheese. Korean gf`s seem to like it, while others ... well, i`m sure you can figure it out.

Pure race mindset certainly plays a part as well. Sanitized ... all same same ... anything different is ... BAD or offensive, to be beaten down, shunned, attacked or criticized ... right ???

Personally i don`t generally have a problem with Koreans` smell other than when i get on an elevator, bus or train. Kinda yucky alright ... stale soju ... moldy kimchi ... barf ...

Quoth Kim Sang-gu : `Your poop smells awful, but mine is so lovely ... like the fragrant scent of roses ... & cute little cartoon characters`.

They can be such terribly ugly little bigots at times Laughing

Hmm... I've noticed that white girls smell and taste funny "down there" compared to Korean girls. Is it the difference in diet (cuz I've heard that it affects the funk down there as well), or has it just been my luck to have encountered white girls that hadn't showered before the deed? Shocked

Feet are worst... upon shoe removal. Often the offender is oblivous to his stench.

Lack of deod... for us weird waygooks who like that silly stuff.

Bad breath, well that's common indeed.

Smokers will smell to nonsmokers.
