Man, it was hilarious.....the guy they were trying to make-over was a Korean living in NYC....a golf studies major at Columbia U.

He had a Thai gf(looked very Korean though), and he wanted to impress her.

Well, the guys had a field day in his apt. They found a bag of those dried anchovies, and were throwing them at each other, saying YUCK...and then the guy discovered ramyon packets, and said it wasn't food. He then went on the balcony and found a huge container of kimchi, and they smelled it and said it was gross. He was also making some sort of chigae...and they were looking at that too wondering what the hell it was.

The guy said his gf liked "exotic food" like Italian....haha.

So they taught him to make something Morrocan for dinner...which she hated...and fed to the dog.

He also had one of those Yorkie sweater wearing dogs....so typically Korean. The dog was urinating everywhere, and chewed up his new shoes they got him.

He said his mom sent him clothes from Korea(don't know how they fit him, he was big)

The funniest part was when he learned to do Thai massage. He tried to do it on her at the end of things, and all she did was complain. He tried to roll himself across her body...he weighed like 200 lbs and she weighed about 90lbs. Then he tried to stick his foot in her armpit while pulling on her arm....and his feet stunk, b/c he didn't wash...

It was just a crazy funny episode...everything about it made me laugh.

I heard about that. But I thought the chick was actually Korean? From the description, she certainly sounded like a ֺ candidate.

I agree that the episode was very sad, but I laughed when the Fashion guy invited the "straight guy" to run away to Belize with him.

I thought that saving the girlfriend for last was a savvy editing move; I had no clue she would be so whiny and frigid. I felt awful for the straight guy when I saw him rushing around fruitlessly, but he did get a very sweet living room and a decent wardrobe out of the deal.

I thought it was hilerious when he started stressing out when the fab five do their usual come in and mess everything up before they make it look ten times cooler bit.
And I had to wonder whether the mother would approve of five gay men coming in and tutoring her ivy leaguer son in how to be a man.

I didn't /don't watch it, but I don't get the comments here. Was it "hilarious", was it "funny" or was it "sad"?

Can you imagine the fab 5 coming over and quearing up the wardrobes of your average metrosexual Seoullite?

10 kinds of slip-on shoes, check
white trousers, check
Louis Vuitton manbag, check- come on fellas- our work here is already done!"
