hey y'all

i have been working here in korea for the past 3.5 months on my e2 visa. it is only a single entry visa.

i want to travel to thailand for my summer vacation, so im looking at changing my visa to a multiple entry.

i have read that i can do this at the airport, but unfortunately i wont have a lot of time for this as i will be on a very tight schedule on departure day. is it possible for me to go to my local immigration office (i live in cheongju) and request a multiple entry 'upgrade' on my visa a few weeks before i leave?

also, what sort of fee is involved?

thanks!
steve.

There's probably a thread here somewhere about it, but I'm too lazy to look. Short answer? Yes, go to your local immigration office fill out a form and they'll give you a multiple, think the fee was around 70,000 won last time I did it.

And free for UK citizens.

Or, if you can find the time and only want to re-enter once, get a new single-entry at the immigration office before you go through security.

Fee is 50,000, or was last month anyway and you can definitely get it at the CJ immigration office. It should take less than half an hour.
