hey y'all
i have been working here in korea for the past 3.5 months on my e2 visa. it is only a single entry visa.
i want to travel to thailand for my summer vacation, so im looking at changing my visa to a multiple entry.
i have read that i can do this at the airport, but unfortunately i wont have a lot of time for this as i will be on a very tight schedule on departure day. is it possible for me to go to my local immigration office (i live in cheongju) and request a multiple entry 'upgrade' on my visa a few weeks before i leave?
also, what sort of fee is involved?
thanks!

There's probably a thread here somewhere about it, but I'm too lazy to look. Short answer? Yes, go to your local immigration office fill out a form and they'll give you a multiple, think the fee was around 70,000 won last time I did it. |

And free for UK citizens.
Or, if you can find the time and only want to re-enter once, get a new single-entry at the immigration office before you go through security. |

Fee is 50,000, or was last month anyway and you can definitely get it at the CJ immigration office. It should take less than half an hour. |
