When I worked in Vietnam I did a lot of bike trips on the weekends, so I'm looking to do the same here. Can anyone reccomend some good places that are comfortable travelling distances for a scooter? Also what about road maps in English?(although I'm probably expecting too much)

So maybe if you reccomend some places you could provide a few directions. The girls are hitting the road so look out for us!! Beep Beep!!

Incheon is a tough place for weekend bike trips. I know as I lived there before this current gig.

Getting out of the city and urban sprawl with life and sanity intact is a bitch, as the main routes out of the city are highways, on which we motorcyclists are not allowed. But it is possible.

Your best bet would be to go north, past Bucheon. There are some pretty country areas out there at the mouth of the Han river.

My pick for best weekend bike trip out of Incheon is to Ganghwado Island, at the mouth of the Han river.

As you said, definitely pick up a road atlas. Haven't been able to find a good one entirely in English, but there are several with both English and Korean. The one I use is called "Allways Map Book."
