For those of you who are political junkies or just concerned citizens who missed seeing this disturbing documentary film by William Karel when it aired on CBC's "Passionate Eye" series last year, the following is a good (ad-free) link: www.neilrogers.com
(I think in the U.S. it was only screened at film festivals...)

Hey, my poll got screwed up! (... Well, the only funny option was "Lynn Cheney is the devil!")

Is there an option that says:

The Bush dynasty, bad for America but good for the world?

And I wasn't aware that the world was united in its opposition to Bush...

Dare I say that, although there are a lot of people obsessing on Bush, there are also many people in the world who probably don't care one way or another?

There's always Poland. Don't forget Poland. Wink

I will never forget Poland after the presidential debate.

I strongly suspect that this film has already been discussed on this forum -I'm a relative newcomer here. But - especially for "Bush bashers" - this film provides a lot of food for thought (though it may be hard to stomach for some...) It digs up dirt on family sire Prescott Bush (doing bank deals with Hitler and Nazis even while his son was fighting them...) and details the neo-con's coordinated attacks on Joseph Wilson. Conveying much of the same info as Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11, this film allegedly did not start out to be "anti-Bush" but just rushed headlong in that direction as events unfolded. Unlike "Fahrenheit," this film is a more traditional documentary, interviewing many key players and critics ranging from Richard Perle to Norman Mailer. The link again - for those who'd like to kill about 90 minutes time focusing on sinister goings-on in the corridors of power - is www.neilrogers.com

It may still turn out so.

The poll needs more options.

Look, I'm a mechanical idiot, and I lack any kind of computer skills (I'm an old dog - setting up the poll was too tricky) I don't know why my other options didn't appear... Personally, I don't think Bush is that bad a guy, but there are too many in the inner circle of power - including the President - who are pushing a fanatical religious agenda, and others - led by the Vice-President - who are profiting enormously at the expense of us all. (And, I really can't stand Cheney's obnoxious wife...)

OK, it seems that only 5 people have bothered to vote as this thread slides down to oblivion. This kind of voter apathy on the part of eligible voters is largely why we ended up with Bush in the White House...

Don't take it personally. Very few posts really take off. Just keep trying.
