New study finds that Canadian couples often fight about money

Well ... duh !!! Laughing

MONTREAL (CP) - A new poll suggests money is causing Canadian couples to fight.

The Decima Research survey ( i sure hope this wasn't publically funded ), commissioned by the Investors Group, says that 47 per cent of 1,000 people polled across Canada this spring consider their disagreements about money in a relationship to be serious. In Quebec, that number drops to 18 per cent.

U.S. beaches getting dirtier, report finds Shocked No ... really ???
Thu Jul 28, 2:42 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - More and more U.S. beaches are being closed due to contamination, in part because there is more pollution and in part because of better monitoring, the National Resources Defense Council said on Thursday.

The group's annual clean beaches report finds that beaches were closed or the subject of a health advisory on nearly 20,000 days in 2004, up 9 percent from 2003 and the most days since tracking started 15 years ago.

"Instead of closing our beaches, let's clean up the water," said Nancy Stoner, ( maybe this explains things ) director of NRDC's Clean Water Project.
