My contract is ending in 3 months. The teaching thing aint a bad gig, will probably do it for another year. However, Id like to do something else. What kind of opportunities are open to foreigners in Korea? Im getting my F-2-1 next week, so Im no longer an E2 slave. Are there jobs available at some of the large companies here in Seoul? What could my options possibly be?

I have the F2-1 as well...I work freelance with a company back home in Import/ Export.
That's a possible avenue for you. (Locating and making contact with buyers/ sellers in English countries.)

You can contact advertising companies offering to correct their Konglish.

Setting up a free lancing gig sounds cool. How did you go about making it legal....or did you? Anyway, the correcting konglish thing was my idea for a business here.

Also, how much money can you make doing freelancing work?

To do the correcting konglish thing you will need access to a translator (part time is OK, but full time is better). Often the �English� that a company will give you will be undecipherable and liberally copy written from the original Korean. Also, if you want to freelance for some of the lager companies, there are a lot of legal requirements.

Editing jobs are available at several companies here in Korea (don�t pay that well compared to teaching) or you could work as an in house editor for one of the larger companies (difficult to get).

Editing jobs often entail working 9 to 6 from Monday to Friday. Some Korean government agencies hire editors on contract basis, but they usually prefer somebody who can translate the Korean texts into flawless English.

If you are good at writing, you can do a freelance writing for local English newspapers. That might beef up your resume, when you get back home.
