Not often that CNN covers Canadian events on its front page!

"The decision about the future of our government will be made by Canadians. They will judge us, and they will judge our performance," said Martin. He said his party would run on its record of "hard work and good management."

Hahaha at least he still has a sense of humour.

CNN and CTV.ca show a glum, pensive "prime minister" Martin after his government falls, and text describing anger over his corruption scandals.

CBC, Canada's "national" public channel shows a glowing, cheerful Martin enthusiastically announcing the start of an election campaign. Text focuses on Liberal accomplishments.

What's the point?

Ontario is gonna stay unbelievably red, the leaches out east will be mostly orange, quebec will go even more bloc, and the Torries aren't going anywhere with Harper at the helm.

I can't believe people are upset over the sponsorship crap. Oh no! They threw around a lot of money to try and save our country from being torn apart Those Devils! Rolling Eyes Who cares if they went over the top with it. I say keep throwing more money at federal-friendly French firms.

We're in for another minority.

It's even worse when you compare the second picture below.

Cheerful, jubilant Martin with a red Canadian flag behind him.

Harper, looking down with some sort of half-smile. The scene is dark. Harper's body takes up most of the photo compared to Martin's, which closes up in on his face.

How much orange do you see out east?
Other than hogtown what do you see more of in southern Ontario, red or blue?
Maybe you haven't been paying taxes in Canada for the last few years. If you have I think you'd be more concerned about the Liberals throwing "around a lot of money to try and save our country from being torn apart" by the whiney bitches in Quebec.[/url]

Seems like the most appropriate place for this:

how to get an absentee ballot for this election.

Warning- seems like voting might mess up your chances of being considered a non resident for tax purposes, but that's just my take on it

It's weird when something as exciting as a Canadian election gets so much coverage on CNN international.

Well, I know who I'm voting for. A corrupt government is still far better than one led by a right-wing ideologue. Besides, is there such a thing as a government that isn't corrupt?
