Well, I have had an F-2-1 visa since Tuesday, and now Im wondering about travelling on this visa. We are planning a European trip in September or October. On my E2 I needed to pay to get a multiple entry visa. Is it the same with an F-2-1? Do I need to do this for my F-2-1?

Also, nothing has been stamped into my passport. They just wrote stuff on the back of my alien registration card (F-2-1 and an extended period of stay until May of next year). Hopefully they dont take my card when Im leaving Korea.

Can,

Well, I suggest you have your spouse get on the horn and ring Immigration to find out for sure what the steps are (if any) for you to travel.

Regarding your passport not being stamped, well, it should have been. Mine was given two stamps:

Permission for change of status of sojourn
and
Permission for engaging in activities not covered by the status of sojourn

Double check your passport, if not there, make a trip and have it stamped.

Shoosh,

Ryst

You need a multiple entry stamp on your visa WHICH should have our F2-1 stamp on it . Not expensive..just get it early eh'.

Yeah I got two stamps on the passport ...a big square one and a small round one...both kinda purplish blue...
