I'm going to start applying to recruiters after I've arranged for a criminal background check (tomorrow). I was raised in Canada, have a North American accent and a strong command of English grammar. However, it says on my passport that I was born in Iran. I look South American, tanned with black hair and eyes. Even if I don't look "unbearably" ethnic, I'm kind of worried that my passport might limit my offers.
Edit: I'm also female and 26 years old, so perhaps that increases my potential hireability. |

Canadian passport and Canadian degree then you are "Canadian" (not Canadian/Iranian) and you are a "native speaker".
