| With this humid weather, does anybody else have problems with laundry not drying? My towels smell bad after hanging for a week to dry and I don't bother washing jeans anymore. Any advice on how to dry laundry? |

There's another thread that is talking about this, and the suggestions are to use a fan to dry your clothes. (That reminds me, I have to set my fan up very soon...)
Also, make sure you leave your bathroom door open during this time as a closed, wet, dark environment may allow mold to breed. I found that out the hard way last year. Bleah. |

| Wash towels with a bit of chlorox. Rinse well and also use fabric softener if the lingering smell bothers you. Also use hot water, even if you have to schlep it from the hot tap or the stovetop. When you hang them to dry, aim your fan at them. Towels have been scientifically proven to have a natural immunity to fan death. Kind of like foreigners. |

Buy a fan and point it at your laundry - simple as that.
Don't leave the fan on when you want to sleep though  |

I was in a basement apartment last summer and my fan was pointing at my clothes more than at me.
This year I have a balcony, so they go out there to dry in the "sun".
At least the smell of the DDT they pump from the back of the truck every day drowns out the mould odor.  |

| Um, a bit off topic but hiking gear shops here sell man made fiber clothes that dry very fast. These clothes also breathe good so you stay a lot dryer. |

Nope. The girlfriend said the same thing, but my Hoover Performa which was made "by appointment to her majesty Queen Elizabeth II" is incredibly efficient. My electricity bills don't go much over 30,000 and that includes the air conditioner (actually, when I'm pulling a mad botanist my bills go up, but barring that).
I paid 1,000,000 for it back in 2000 and it's been the best investment I've ever made in Korea. |

If the fan doesn't work (it should) you can always dump about 200,000 to 300,000 won on a dehumidifier for your room.
It will cool the room quite a bit to take that humidity out. |

| A dehumidifier is a "tal sub gi" or a "che sub gi". Dehumidification is "tal sub" or "che sub". I wish this computer did hangul so I could type it with hangul, but it doesn't. "sub" is the shiot, the neutral vowel, and the piup. The other two sylables should be self explanatory. |
