Try spending some time in Bangkok, Taipei, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzen, or Kaoshung....in comparison Seoul's air quite aromatic and pristine!

I've always heard that Mexico City is the world's most polluted city. This article supports that and lists the cities as:
1. Mexico City, Mexico
2. Sao Paulo, Brazil
3. Cairo, Egypt

Cairo- that's #1 in my book- now there's a filthy city.

Seoul's so polluted I absolutely had to quit smoking- it was wrecking my chest 10 times worse than usual. Its been a month without a ciggie now and the air is a lot more tolerable.

I live in Iksan and I can't remember the last time I saw blue sky.

I'm really looking forward to returning to Australia in August. Blue skies, birds singing, the stars visible at night, wild flowers in spring, clean streets, beautiful beaches etc. etc. etc. (Of course I won't be living in Sydney or Melbourne)

I will give you my prespective on Pollution here in Korea.

I live in Daegu. One day while on the Internet I was looking at weather on MyYahoo. And for Daegu Korea it had a visibility rating. It said 40 km. Ok I thought that is good. Then checked back home in Canada and looked at the visibility rating - unlimited. That shocked me.

Also went up to the Buddha Grotto in Kyungju. You would expect to not have much pollution in the Country side. From the top of one mountain I could barely make out the the other mountains.

Sometimes I think the pollution here is not to bad. I think Daegu does suffer from a bit of fog at times.
