Hey all,

I have accepted a contract on Jeju-do and I am wondering what kind of clothes to bring with me. I've gathered that the heat and humidity in most of Korea is pretty brutal around this time of year, so lots of little tops and light skirts. How long does the heat and humidity last? Will I be able to use a summer wardrobe through most of the year? What about sweaters, jackets, boots, etc..? Will I need any of these things?

And about footwear...we've already established that I will need to bring coverings for the skiis that I call feet, but what type? I read in my Lonely Planet Guide that sandals are not considered appropriate outdoor footwear in Korea - is this true? Do I need rainboots, winterboots? Or can I shed all of that nasty winter gear for the next year?? Very Happy

All advice appreciated. Thanks.

Sandals are fine, everyone wears them. Not to work though, unless your hakwon is very relaxed.

Jejudo 'the Hawaii of Korea' is mostly hype. You'll see snow.
