Somebody posted that about a month ago that it had some power-hungry foreign managers. I forget who- they just hinted at it and then put <gossip> like that. I was thinking about teaching there one day- however, if the place has a bad rap for foreign "managers" who are power-hungry creeps or even worse- psychopaths.

Why would foreigners want that kind of position in the first place and then-did someone here compare them to Chinese overlords (saying the Chinese overlords were more kind). What's up?

a month ago that they had the inside skinny on power-hungry Wae-guks (foreign) managers who were worse to work for than Chinese overlords. Sounds pretty psychopathic and scary- have you heard anything like that?

If I wasn't so lazy I could go post by post to find it. I just wonder if anyone who hangs out at a place recommended by some (The Royal Anchor) if they have heard of this. I don't know why the poster chose to point out Ulsan considering all the cities in Korea. That's the first time I've heard any such thing on this board.

So- I got 3 what's- what about information?

Thanks!

OK- I decided not to be lazy and found the Ulsan thread- here's what the poster- who seemed to have the inside track on something- said:

This is, I've heard, not always the case in China, where the foreign dogs in positions of authority are often more hated and feared than the Chinese owner/managers. </gossip>

It could have been about the majority/some/a few foreign managers. It was just a curious thing that it came up in the Ulsan thread.
