Here is their website (which is in Korean). There is already a list of names on the site. Anybody we know?

I guess this has been public since February, but it is running on Daum news right now (which means it might get a lot more traffic). If you click on the country you can read the 'offenses' of the teachers in question.

Interesting to see a Recruiting Agency on there.

Wonder what they did.

What's funny are the complaints from hagwon owners that Immigration staff give inconsistent answers and are unfriendly.

I'm quite shocked to see them posting passport numbers on the blacklist.

I'm quite surprised there are only fifteen teachers on the list.

Wish I could read the list of offences.

Will someone that can read Korean please translate the list? Either that or maybe they can get a Korean to translate it. I agree, it would be interesting to see what is said just for us to be aware of the tactics being taken against foriegn teachers.

According to Korean law, a non-citizen's passport number cannot be publicized without that person's written permission.

Copy and paste the complaints onto this site; http://world.altavista.com
and you can get a very rough translation of what is being said about them.

I have read alot of the messages and it sounds like the offenses were mostly midnight-running or submitting false documentation.

I'll translate one of the comments about a blacklisted teacher.

"This teacher has done a midnight run. If things aren't to his liking, he does not hesitate to swear at both his employer and the students. Be warned."

Here's another one:

"This teacher could not control his classroom and was chronically unprepared. Eight months into his contract, he stole a notebook computer from his school and fled to Canada. If he comes back to Korea, I plan to file charges against him for theft."

Here's another gem:

"After receiving an E-2, I contacted immigration to verify whether or not she had graduated, after which she fled. I guess her degree was counterfeit. The school suffered much loss."

Another wonjang writes:

"Evil teacher. He went to a Japanese guesthouse and because of this bastard even the police showed up."

Maybe he was drunk when he wrote it.

Alot of the comments sound personal in nature. Koreans should leave their emotions out the door and stick to logic when making a complaint.
