Well, I'm in Korea and jobless (after my last school tried to screw me - still unresolved).

I have been searching the net and sending out applications (resume, photo, etc), but have not had many replies.

I have also posted my resume on several web pages.

Should I go into schools and give them my resume in person? Any other suggestions?

By the way, I am looking for something unusual - a teaching position that begind in the early morning and ends by 2pm.

The search continues....

Pro-active-----check ads and geton the phone...If you post and sit back and wait all of the shysters and losers will be contacting you...Also dont rule out the newspaper---it is often the same junk but I found my 2 best jobs here in Korea Times.....OH and of course play it cool and give off an air that you will be doing them a huge favor if you lower your standards and accept their offer...Good luck...

Tom is pretty much right. Find out about the place yourself. Trusting a recruiter how doesnt know a damned thing about the school, or worse: doesnt give a damned, is a sure ticket to hell.

Trust me. I know.

Perhaps that is what is making your search more difficult. The others offered good advice: look in the Korea Herald and Times. Also, recruiters really aren't that bad if you use them here. They simply give you info on a school and you can check it out on your own; the recruiter can't pull the same type of BS he can do when you're overseas.

If you know what area you want to be in, go there and just drop by the english hogwons in that area. Chances are one of them needs a new teacher.
