anyone else frustrated by the conspicuous lack of quality/stylish/interesting t-shirts in this country? i've found great t's in every other asian country i've been in (mao t's in china, those commie star t's from vietnam, the bull t's from thailand, diesel t's from japan, etc, etc, etc.). did the t-shirt god pass over this place, or what?

Great posting for the creative juices Mack.

Some caption suggestions for T-shirts in Korea:

"Gimchi...the next global condiment"

"Korea, putting the 'bang' in Noraebang"

"I'm not your father, but I AM your senior"

"I'm your junior, so I'm basically your *beep*"

"Welcome to Korea. Phlegm capital of the world"

"Korea ! We almost beat Germany"

"Korea ! Where dogs are welcome in restaurants (on the menu)"

"Don't *beep* with me, I'm a Korean bus driver"

"President Roh of Korea. Looking more like an Asian Harpo Marx everyday"

"Hug me. I'm a Korean male"

"All I got from Korea was this lousy T-shirt (because there is literally *beep* all else)"

"I don't really smoke. I've just been to a Korean P.C. Bahng"

"Korea: more bars per square mile than Glasgow or Dublin (well, almost)"

"Korean kids. Are they all actually amateur proctologists?"

"Korea ! Crotch-pot cooking in summer, freezy bollocks in winter"

"Teach English in Korea. Go home a confused, shell-shocked mute"

"Korea: where thin is in, and fat means over 110lbs"

"Be the reds...as long as it's red pepper paste"

"Korean soccer: not REALLY a flash in the pan"

"Korea. Where even bodily fluids taste of Gimchi"

A few more of my personal renderings:

"Korea. The poor man's Japan"

"Korea. Where 'gook' is used to describe people from Non-Asian countries"

"Korea. 5000 years of culture. 5000 reasons to hate outsiders"

"Korea. More unisex bathrooms than 'Ally McBeal'"

"Is that a 'Nazi' gathering spot, or am I just looking at the sign in the mirror?"

"Korea. We take the pleasure OUT of going to the bathroom"

"Korea. Where showerheads are held"

"Korea ! Leave your common sense at the airport"

More to follow...

Korean fashion like much of this country is very bland. Saw & bought some awesome t-shirts in Japan, pretty pricey though.

material)

"Korea ! Try learning the language...it makes the natives laugh"

avram,

your perspicacious "common sense" concept is one for the books. apparently both foreigners and koreans are "dumbed down" upon arrival. perhaps it's something they pump into the air at incheon int?

the hand-held shower heads are brilliant if you're a) tall b) showering with your loved one c) hung-over and in dire need of a good hydro massage
