I'm trying to find some way out of this E-2....I don't think I can trust this school if they're already trying to *beep* me around and I'm not even there yet.

Have you checked out the EFL-LAW site yet? They have lots of great info there.

Phone up the Embassy - get the E2 cancelled and then use a different recruiter to start again. Now you're learning eh?

Unpack them bags and wait for a proper job offer.

Did you phone through and speak to other teachers employed there? If not - next offer, do it. Speak to teachers already there. Golden rule.

Can the school withhold my diploma?
Has anyone ever called a consulate to cancel an E-2?

You're not having as smooth a time as you should be. . .

If the school has the diploma and the people there want to be bastards, they might keep it (my first hagwon lost mine -- actually, I've gone through a few degrees here in Korea). As to cancelling the E2, I have no idea. . . Ask the EFL law guys.
