Second hand smoke is right..man! Sometimes i get palpitations sitting in there and just have to get out quickly..A PC bang is probably the unhealthiest environment in the country.

Involuntary forward flip over 12th floor balcony railing caused by alcoholic withdrawal seizure.

I had to look up the spelling of "withdrawal", that one always gets me.

Self inflicted death by board marker if another student says "so-so"

I've marked up at least two shirts threatening this already

So everyone else has the same fear as I do....walking out the gate one morning, being run over and the last sound I hear is the driver honking his horn after the fact. Not even a "Mianhae!" is heard...
It REALLY REALLY scares me to see scooters not only drive on the sidewalk (at full speed), but also when they drive in the opposite direction in the same lane as oncoming traffic!! WHAT ARE THEY THINKING???? Is it a death wish?
Igo!

I'm still alive, but I left SoKo behind. Have a brief trip back in 2 weeks, though the scooters on the pavement get me - I often try to jump out the way and end up jumping in the path of the scooter. Maybe I should get a catapult and a pocket full of marbles. The ones with the visors get me. You can't see what they're thinking. Squaffy will rule the sidewalks when he returns Wink

i have lived most of my 46 years in countries where people drive on the left (ie: correct) side of the road. In the first year i was here i was struck by cars twice. i always look the wrong way when i step out onto the road.

the first incident was when my boss actually hit me. he took me for an x-ray and then expected me to teach straight away - i was crying in pain!

the second time i stepped out onto a crossing (i had the green light to cross) and this little car ran straight over my foot!

down in NZ this week i found i had acclimatised to this right (wrong) sided driving. i was looking the wrong way again.

God help me if I ever try to drive here!

For sure crossing a street at a crosswalk in my small town. I heard of two teachers who got killed doing so. A crosswalk is merely a suggested place to take your life in your hands and even if you use one, oncoming traffic will blast their horn at you. Be safe.
