Haha, everyone

I have kept a low profile since my arrival in Seoul.

You might have guessed what happened to me by the title of this thread. Out of blue, I was offered to fill in for a Korean American guy who hosted a radio show for CBS (Christian Broadcasting Services) and interviewed two American preachers.

A guy I interviewed for the station is from Memphis, Tenessee and the other guy is from Pensilvania. The guy from Penn. had no problem understanding my English with thick Canadian accent, but I had to repeat again and again for the guy from Tenessee.

Unprepared and not expected to become a radio host all of a sudden, I stuttered all the way through, when summarising their answers in Korean. Finally, the producer shook her head and edited out everything I did. Yes, the poor Trin and hosts had to do the same interview for a second time. The producer had no reservation showing her disappointment at my Korean ability (after all it was an ENGLISH SHOW) and finally brought in a Korean-Korean minister to do the interpretation, while I was only allowed to ask questions in English.

The show was supposed to be an hour. I spent three hours to finish the show. Will I do the radio show again? Maybe not. It wasn't as easy as it looks.

Trinny, I'd say you did very well for a 6- month old cutie.

Rapier,

I wish I were 6-month old prodigy. In reality, I would have been 30-something old maid, without my dear hubby. Crying or Very sad
