I'm wondering if us foreigners have access to libraries in the city, particularly university libraries.
I am considering doing a couple of courses through distance ed to complete an honours degree while I'm here. Then I realized that I would probably have to write research papers, and access to research materials might be extremely limited.
Of course I'm assuming that a certain amount of resources in English will be available. . . ( Since the subject would be English lit, language shouldn't be a problem.) |

It is impossible to access a university library unless you are a student or faculty at that university. You need to show your university id card to get in. All universities are like this, a real pain in the ass. I would like to be able to browse and photocopy, not even borrow, but that's not allowed. |
