Mouthwash - Listerine.

It cost like 8000/9000 at the red door or hannam.

If you go to Costco you can get 3 for 11000.

Think of the savings. Always go to costco if possible.

Also dont go on a sunday afternoon to costco. It's a nightmare.

Okay, this Hannam market that everyone keeps talking about. Is it that little Pakistani grocer on the little street that branches off from the main Itaewon street (you go uphill from the subway, past Starbucks and turn right and go uphill past the Russian clubs) and it's on the left after a block or so? Is that Hannam or is that a different place?

Please advise!

What you're describing is the Itaewon Foreign Foods Market. The Hannam Market is about a 15 minute walk from there. Head East on Itaewon St. towards the Hannam Bridge and as Itaewon St ends in a huge confusing intersection, bear right and walk down the street towards the Hannam Bridge. The first chance you get, take the footpath bridge across the street to the North-bound lane. Walk further south until you get to a Volvo dealership and see a big bowling pin. The Hannam market is in the basement. It has more stuff than the Itaewon market, but it's prices are a bit higher.

The Red Door market is somewhat harder to find as there is no red door there. But at the intersection of Gheckos and Quiznos, head South away from the Hamilton hotel. Walk about 5-10 minutes down the street and the little Red Door Market is just around some big yellow money exchange sign. It's very small and has all kinds of really expensive Western food which is supplied by soldiers selling stuff they bought on base. There's a lot of stuff there that isn't anywhere else, but still, W9000 for a can of blueberry pie filling is a bit much.

sorry to bump an ancient thread but IS THIS F'ING IT?

I would kind of like someone to tell me it isnt, there really wasnt very much here when I went, I bought some pop tarts, i dont really like pop tarts.

I would have probably preferred it if i was north american though.

Anywhere better these days?

I prefer going to Hannam market. They have more or less the same things as the Red Door and there is also a little store just outside which sells things you might not find in Hannam market itself.

Yeah, i think i've even seen cottage cheese there! For like W8000 haha.

They have Black Market stores in Songtan, too. Just ask for the Songtan tour guide, Songtan Sally.

I saw it in Dongdaemoon underground market. Go in under the Trillion building and check out the tightly packed vendors. Lots of American stuff from the US Army base.

What time do these two places close? Are they open on Friday nights or on Saturday afternoons?
