Not Julia Roberts, but pretty women from North Korea are walkin down the street in Daegu, the host city of the 2003 Summer Universiade.

The pretty women from the reclusive communist country are the kind South Koreans, particularly young men, like to meet.

Tickets are sold out for venues where a North Korean charm offensive is planned. Spectators are captivated by the cheerleaders colorful card sections and gorgeous dances, rather than by the games themselves.

The perfect teamwork of the northern beauties with smiling faces is really fantastic, striking South Koreans and visitors from abroad with wonder. How can they do so brilliantly?

Sex sells the World over.

Maybe they are more blatant than USA or Candada, but I have no experience of those places so can't comment in detail.

Did anyone see the awesome N.korean womens' soccer team beat the Mexicans 5-0 today? Wow, it was utter professionalism. One of them did miss a shot on goal now, wonder if she'll be shot when she gets back to Pyongyang?
Another question: if one of these N.Korean beauties wanted to defect, err, marry, a South Korean guy, would she be allowed?

It was actually Uday Hussein, son of Saddam, who was known
for beating and torturing members of the Iraqi soccer team who messed
up ... or strangely, got too popular, arousing his jealousy. Uday was
shot to death in a raid just a few days ago.
Last week when this commentary appeared in the Korea Times,
written by a South Korean man, it just brought to mind ...
there's nothing quite so ugly as a forced happy-face. The cover of
Time Magazine recently featured an article on the dysfunctional family
of Kim Jong Il, written by his sister-in-law. She is in hiding somewhere
in Europe, no longer wanting to be a cheerleader for the Dear Leader.
Hey, that rhymes, doesn't it? Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad
