Worst = mine. It's my first ever yahoo email address ( created in 99 ) which I never changed and I use it for all board handles. It's incredibly literal and I feel very uncreative for still using it. I guess I'm such a sentimental fool but I really like the fact that I'm still using my original email address, I'm hooked on it, even though it sucks!

Phoenix. No, I'm not from Arizona. Interesting how many cultures have legends about a phoenix...

Glad you like the avatars, I have a lot of fun with them. The latest one only took 15 years to do. Embarassed

I was entering the hallway outside my classroom from the courtyard today and found a huge, ugly-@ss bug. I took it to a teacher who keeps many creatures in the classroom and she told me it was a katydid.

Katydid! This thing was ugly! You have a cute one in your avatar, nothing like this sucker.

DID IT LOOK LIKE THIS?

Ź 'mae-mi'

OR THIS?

ġ 'yeo-chi'

Katydids look like emerald grasshoppers on steroids, while cicadas look like a little like monster mutant houseflies. Like crickets and grasshoppers they both make noises. The cicadas are the loud buzzing/humming ones that you hear everywhere in the summer.

Heh heh....saw something better online (I think) and have to wait until Mr. Lemon gets back to do the avatar switcheroo on his server.
LOL I use this name in a chatroom too, and one day people I know in there were picking on me by showing the UGLIEST pictures of katydids you could find. Smile One was even a "Conehead" katydid. Ha ha. Wink]

Porr captain O is getting grouped bashed here...!
I think that his nick is perfectly in line with his posts. He has opinions just like everyone and gets branded an "apologist" (people on here sometimes use words without knowing their real meanings...) because he dares say he enjoys it here.
His style is crude and direct but hey thats not a fault in my book.

Best nick on this board would have to be Circus Monkey...it just works for the dude owning it...Smile

I don't think being an "apologist" in itself has much to do with the Captain's "soaring" popularity. Wink It has more to do with the nature of his replies. Yes, he was right sometimes. but he was also unecessarily mean at times. He was also wrong a lot, and too arrogant or ignorant to admit it.

He seemed to take pleasure in seeing new teachers suffer and then he would gloat at how much "smarter" he would have been in their situation.

I'm sure the good Captain has had his share of problems, especially in his first 6 months here. But I doubt that he would ever admit to that.
Cheers

I hate to admit this...

The other day OiBoy came over and began disrobing...when I saw his Sponge Bob Squarepants boxers, the first thing I thought was "Hoju Candy!"

Not necessarily who I wanted to be thinking of at the moment...and never even met him (HC) IRL, yet.
