Yeah xenok....thats true.

The goalie was great in the shootout....that last save with the tip of his foot was something else but as you said he can't always bail them out!

The midfield and strikers have to get going here....

Bluewings I think.

Along with pretty boy Ahn Jung Hwan...with his perm...but the boy scores when it matters...too bad they did not take him on the team as a second-half crunch time substitute.... Laughing

True, but that has a lot to do with our coach being a complete 'tard

0-0 halftime.

Well played game so far....looks damn hot in the stadium however!

Iraq is playing decent as is Korea...but it is a conservative game on both sides so far....

Japan won 4-3 on penalties...well done for them!

Sets up a possible Japan - Korea final (if Korea prevails here vs Iraq). That would be something else indeed....

Perhaps the torrential rain before the match coupled with the intense heat had an effect?

I watched some Gold Cup mathches this year (CONCACAF) and the stadiums in the states were bare as well.....ya never know.

Gotta like the sportsmanship showed by both teams here.

one of my grade 6 students, in a class where they have to write letters or diary entries, wrote distraught earlier in the tourney, when it wasn't clear that Korea would qualify for the quarterfinals, that...

"Korea is D grade" and has a "bad Asia Cup", drawing some unhappy faces on the letter paper

I wonder if she has changed her mind now... looking forward to tomorrow's class, either way...

well Iraq is through that should W some propaganda

given the last kick, korea deserved to lose, lousy shot choice

will say this on a couple of earlier kicks Iraq got lucky, ball through the Korean keeper's hands and a deflection by the Iraqi keeper

Credit where credit is due, Korea look the goods everywhere except when finishing. Big, strong, composed but not scoring a goal in 240 minutes of football against teams who gave them chances indicates all is not well to me. Well done Iraq.

I've always maintained that Iraq is a stronger team then Korea, and they don't have the big bucks to throw away on English coaches as well.... Very Happy
