OK so I'm getting really sick of being home every night.

I want to do something fun. I don't like bars much, unless it's with a group of good friends.

I'M LOOKING FOR CLUBS... not just things to do by myself. I have pleanty of things I can do alone, I'm looking for company.

I like card games, board games, pool (but I suck), Checkers (also suck).

Pretty much any type of group game type thing that isn't too... hard. (Meaning rugby and football are out!)

I like hiking and water things. I know about ZTravel and Adventure Korea, but I'm looking for something to do on a regular basis, AND things to do during the week.

Do you guys have any suggestions???

You think you're bored?

Pity the poor astronauts trapped aboard the space station.

"Hey's it's Saturday night. I think I'll go out for a beer. You wanna come?"

Not a good idea.

Here's what they have resorted to for entertainment, playing with their Alka Seltzer:

(I showed this to the school's science teacher, and she asked what's alka seltzer. I said a tablet that fizzes. She didn't seem entirely satisfied.)

Try the local park where the old Korean dudes hang out.

Buy a Changi or Paduk board.

Go there and start playing with these guys.

I have been playing Changi (korean chess) for a few years at my local park and it has been a great experience. I go on sundays.

As for other things...join a hiking club...there are tons.

I have never understood how a person can be bored....You must be so busy learning new things all day long that now you are worn out??? Puuhhhhlease.....Millions of people are dying in Africa...think of ways to help them...read up on stocks...make more money.....learn Korean, learn French learn something.....good God join a book club...or go to one of those get togethers they have in Sinchon where you can meet people....look for a group of people like you on the internet.....exercise....write a letter to a family member.....call somebody you haven't called in a long time....pull an Oprah and go do a random act of kindness....but don't tell me you are bored....hell you can even go to www.bored.com

pick and pathetic..I'm guessing that you are a woman because I don't think men say this too often...hell there is always sex and that's exciting....no more excuses

I was here LOOKING for a book club, or a get together, or a hiking club. Or websites where they had stuff like that for people in Seoul.

I hear Adventure Korea has some exciting outings. Just make sure you drink your soju and don't substitute it with water.

Hmmm, here's a little start.....

go to the cinema, playhouse, orchestra, art galleries, museums, walk in the woods if you're in the countryside, or just walk anywhere for fun, lie in the grass, walk in the rain, go insect hunting (my God, the prey mantis and butterflys here are unbelievable), bird watching (the herons near ponds here in Korea are stunning too), take random buses and see where you end up, ride the subway to some random stop and take a walk, plan weekends/nights away in new places, meet the locals in Korean hofs, meet foreigners in expat bars, eat in a new restaurant for every meal: its cheap!, or cook new recipes at home for yourself, experiment with different ingredients, make c-o-cktails, punches and homebrews hehe, change your hairstlye/get a new look, learn a new skill: find your creative side - paint, draw, mould...join a class: yoga, mediation, taekwondo, some martial arts, join a social sports team, go hiking, jogging, walking, ANY exercise, exercise until you almost pass out! ENDORPHINS will do wonders for the mind, get the internet at home, watch movies, porn, comedy shows whatever tickles your fancy, make a website, a blog, create a new identity, learn a new language, plan a world trip, read Shakespeare, Jung, Homer, Socrates, Neitzche, the classics....and if the worst comes to the worst, just sit on the street and people watch, thats always fun!!!

try some of the magazines you can pick up in Itaewon..like Gecko's for example...there is NOOOO shortage of clubs for people to join.....Just don't say you are bored....hell this city has well over 10 million people in it I'm sure you can find a club or a group of people who like to do things that you like to do[/quote]

Okay, the people responding here need to think first. The OP is asking WHERE and HOW to find clubs. Most responses just say "There are tons of clubs!" or "How can you be bored?!"

Instead of chastising him/her for being bored, why not offer an actual response about a specific club and how to get in contact with them? And instead of telling him/her to exercise or study stocks, respect the OP's original request for clubs to get involved in.

I would like to know how I can find these clubs as well. I can't find them anywhere on the internet and I really want to join a bunch as soon as I get to Seoul.
