Goshicrapwons would have to be a last resort for moi. I am NOT sharing a darn bathroom/shower with strangers. My dorm days are over and I didn't even like those for 2 years. My last 2 years, I stayed with the 'rents.

Oh no! Isn't that super noisy and don't you have to hear people having sex? Gross! I hope you have earplugs.

I got a buddy of mine coming to visit for a couple weeks. He doesn't need anything fancy, just a room with a bed.

Anyone know a place south of the river near Gangnam or Jamshil?

Oh dear, aren't you special, who would have thought somebody out there doesn't need to save money on lodging.. and I had no idea that anyone would actually prefer to not use a shared bathroom if given the choice Shocked nice screenname btw! Laughing

How do you find goshiwons? Are the listed in the newspaper classified ads? Are there ads at universities? Is there a website?

Although this thread is an old one, here's a site I used last year. Will probably use it later this year as well, as I am planing about visiting Korea again.

How does the goshiwon paper contract usually work?

Actually, I have a roommate who is refusing to move out even though I moved into a different apartment and was the one who paid for the key money. When I get back to Korea from my vacation, if push comes to shove, I guess that I will forcibly move all of his things into a goshiwon, but of course, hopefully he will be more cooperative by then.
